About ParatransitGuide
An independent, plain-language guide to ADA paratransit, city by city. United States first; Canada is planned.
Where the data come from
All agency, fare, booking, hours and coverage data come from the Federal Transit Administration’s National Transit Database, 2024 report year, downloaded from data.transportation.gov on October 17, 2026:
- 2024 NTD Annual Data - Demand Response Geographic Area Coverage (Counties and Places)
- 2024 NTD Annual Data - Demand Response Geographic Area Coverage (Passenger Eligibility and Fares)
- 2024 NTD Annual Data - Demand Response Geographic Area Coverage (Service Schedules)
- 2024 NTD Annual Data - Reporter Agency Information
- 2022 - 2025 NTD Annual Data - Metrics (filtered: report_year 2024, mode DR)
- U.S. Census Bureau, Vintage 2024 population estimates for incorporated places (SUB-EST2024)
What the fields mean
- Fare: the one-way demand-response fare the agency reported to the NTD. Zone, distance or premium fares are not included.
- Booking: the minimum advance reservation the agency reported.
- Hours: the service span reported for each day. Many ADA services match local bus hours, which vary by route.
- ADA paratransit (reported): the agency set the NTD “ADA eligible” flag. ADA paratransit required: the agency also runs fixed-route bus or rail in 2024 NTD data, so the ADA requires complementary paratransit, but the flag was not set.
- Verified: checked by hand on the agency’s official website on the date shown.
The NTD does not publish phone numbers. Phone numbers appear only after manual verification. Blank means not reported; we never guess.
